French Art Deco Chandelier in classic 1930s shape and pure period details in the fixture. Ideal over a dinning table, living room or bedroom. Fine example for French early 1930s Art Deco design trends, which in my opinion is the peak of the period.
Each element of the fixture has a blend of floral and linear motifs stylishly repeated in each component. Fixture has its original silvered finish; in the period silver was less expensive than nickel and was frequently used. The technique gives dark and silver tints to sections and particularly noticeable with the vertical rods which are deliberately blackened on both ends. Silvering is in very good condition but shows minor signs of age.
The chandelier has 4 frosted white pressed glass shades in a design and proportion that enhance the beauty of the light. Shades are models by EZAN (not signed) which was the glass production factory of the EJG group (Etablissement J GAUTHIER). No chips or cracks to the glass.
Furnished with new electrical wiring OK for 220v or 110v
